Postage

Stamps

This project involved designing a series of six postage stamps based on three of my favorite holidays. The goal was to create two stamps for each holiday — one abstract and one realistic — that together captured both the essence and the visual identity of each celebration.

I chose to focus on three traditional Mexican holidays that are personally meaningful to me. Representing my culture is something I’m deeply passionate about, and this project was an opportunity to showcase the richness, beauty, and diversity of Mexican traditions.

One of the key challenges was ensuring visual consistency across all six stamps while allowing each holiday to have its own distinct mood and message. I carefully balanced color palettes, forms, and stylistic elements to create a cohesive yet dynamic series. The abstract stamps conveyed emotion and atmosphere, while the realistic ones highlighted specific cultural symbols and imagery.

This project reflects my interest in cultural storytelling through design, as well as my ability to work within creative constraints while maintaining both clarity and cohesion across a set.
